1. Access the Plugins Section
Navigate to the Plugins area in your WordPress Dashboard.
2. Select Add New
Click on the Add New option available in that section.
3. Search for the Plugin
In the upper right corner of the page, you will find a search box. Type in the keyword “Imagerr AI” and press enter to initiate the search.
4. View Search Results
After a moment, the search results will appear. Look for the “AI Image Alt Text Generator – Imagerr AI” plugin in the list.
5. Install the Plugin
Click the Install Now button next to the plugin to add it to your dashboard. After that, don’t forget to Activate the plugin.

Instructions for activating your free trial

1. Sign up on Imagerr.AI
Create an account on imagerr.ai/register-user.
2. Login to your Imagerr.AI account
Login on imagerr.ai/login.
3. Copy your API key
Click on the green Copy button in the API Key box in your Imagerr.AI account.

4. Enter your API key
In your WordPress admin dashboard navigate to Imagerr AI > Settings and paste your API key. After that click on the Save Settings button at the bottom, and you are all set up.

Please note that sometimes it may take around 5 minutes for the API key to be valid. You may be getting an API key error if you try to use it too early.

Instructions for purchasing credits

1. Buy the credits
Simply navigate to imagerr.ai, choose your plan, and complete the payment.

After completing the payment, you shall see the purchased credits amount already available in your Imagerr.AI account and in the Imagerr.AI plugin’s settings as well.

NOTE: Sometimes it can take a few minutes for the credits to be added to your account.

In your WordPress admin panel in the plugin’s settings (Imagerr AI > Settings), you will find various options like, for example:

• Auto Generate on Upload
• Generate Title
• Generate Caption
• Generate Description
• Language
• Meta Prefix
• Meta Suffix

Instructions for using the plugin on one particular image

Simply navigate to your WordPress media library (Media > Library), click on a particular image, and click on the blue button “Update with Imagerr,” and you are all set up.

You can automatically generate the alt text (and/or the meta title, caption, and description too) for all your new images when they are uploaded to your media library. You can activate this feature in your WordPress admin panel in the plugin’s settings (Imagerr AI > Settings).

You can also apply this to the images that already have alt text by ticking the first checkbox at the bottom.

If you tick the second checkbox, “Replace on posts,” too, the plugin will search for each image across all post types and automatically update its alt text everywhere it is used – not just in the media library. This ensures that reused images always show the most accurate and updated alt text across your entire website. However, plase be aware of that enabling this option will increase the total time that will be needed to process all images. For example, if you want to process 5,000 images at one time, it may take even a few hours.

Note: Do not close your browser window during the bulk generation process. If you need to stop the process, click on the “STOP” button (after that it takes a couple of seconds while the process stops).

At the bottom section of the plugin’s settings, you will find the SEO keywords settings. These settings allow you to predefine SEO keywords that you would like to have included in your generated alt texts. This can be helpful for your SEO. Please note that all these settings are optional and you may not even need them.

You can do the following:

• Use the WordPress post or page title on which the particular image is used.
• Use focus keywords or keyphrases from SEO plugins’ post or page settings. This works with all major SEO plugins that include RankMath, Yoast SEO, AIOSEO, SEOPress, and Squirrly.
• Add your own custom SEO keywords that you want to use (optional, maximum 3, separated by commas).
• Add negative keywords that you want to avoid using (optional, maximum 3, separated by commas).

No, it will still cost you only 1 credit even if you generate a title, caption, and/or description for your one image as well.

Yes, you can use the same API key on more than just one website. It will work.
